The Kushtaka is an ancient Tlingit Legend told by Natives of Alaska. For one of my finals, we were challenged to illustrate and animate a legend. I narrated the story of a girl traveling through Alaska with her mom. The mother dives into the legend of the Kushtaka, a half man, half otter beast that steals children in the forest. I decided to portray a kind of child-like depiction of what a Kushtaka would look like to someone who admires otters.
